From Our Table to Yours

Every great recipe starts with a moment of connection. For us, that moment happened during a simple lunch gathering with my mother’s group while on maternity leave. I had prepared a meal topped with my homemade crunchy chilli oil, and what was meant to be a quiet afternoon turned into a realisation: people didn't just like the heat, they loved the flavour.

Soon, "Can I have a jar?" turned into "When is the next batch?" and Fortune8 11 (pronounced Fortunate Eleven) was born.

The name itself is a piece of our family; it signifies our lucky numbers, which also happen to be our birthdays. To us, the word "fortunate" represents the luck of finding such a supportive community and the joy of bringing people together over a meal. We believe that great flavour should be inclusive. That’s why we’ve gone the extra mile to ensure our crunchy chilli oil is Vegan, as well as Gluten & Soy-friendly. We also understand that everyone’s spice tolerance is different, which is why we’ve developed a range of heat levels—from a gentle hum to a serious kick.
