  4. Why is your chilli oil more expensive compared to supermarket brands? Unlike mass-produced condiments that rely on cheap, generic vegetable oil blends and artificial preservatives, Fortune8 11 is a premium artisan product. We invest strictly in high-quality ingredients, utilising clean canola oil as our base and incorporating a unique blend of quality spices. Every single glass jar is meticulously handcrafted and poured in small batches right here in Melbourne to guarantee unmatched flavour and the ultimate crunch. 

Dietary & Allergens

  1. Is Fortune8 11 Crunchy Chilli Oil vegan? Yes! We are proud to say our chilli oil is 100% vegan. We use premium nutritional yeast to deliver a rich, cheesy, savoury umami depth without relying on animal products or common allergens like soy, mushroom powder or dried scallops.
  2. Are you halal? We are not halal certified but we do not use animal products or alcohol in our chilli oil.
  3. What about other allergens?
    While our recipe does not intentionally include gluten, soy, nuts, or dairy as primary ingredients, we cannot claim or guarantee that our products are entirely allergen-free.

Fortune8 11 is handcrafted in a shared facility that may handle wheat/gluten, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, lupin, and sesame. Additionally, some of our premium raw ingredients are sourced from suppliers with precautionary "may contain traces" statements for these allergens. If you have a severe allergy or coeliac disease, we strongly advise you to review our full ingredient list carefully or consult a medical professional before consuming.

Storage & Pro-Tip

  1. How should I store my chilli oil? Before opening, store your jar in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. After opening, we recommend refrigerating the jar to maintain maximum freshness and crunch. 
  2. What if my oil solidifies in the fridge? Because we use high-quality ingredients, natural oils can sometimes thicken or slightly solidify when chilled. Simply take the jar out of the fridge a few minutes before using, or stir it with a clean, dry spoon to bring it back to its perfect consistency!
  3. Why has all the crunchy stuff settled at the bottom of my jar? That is actually a sign of premium quality! Because our chilli oil is completely natural with zero stabilisers or emulsifiers, the good stuff naturally sits at the bottom. We highly recommend giving your jar a deep stir right to the bottom before every single scoop!

Shipping

  1. How long will it take until I receive my order? We aim to process and pack your orders within 2-3 business days. Shipping usually takes between 3-7 business days once the courier processes it. If you require an urgent delivery, please email us and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
  2. What are your shipping rates? To keep things simple, we offer flat-rate shipping on all domestic orders:

    Standard Shipping (Lightweight / 1 Jar): $12.00

    Standard Shipping (Heavyweight / Multiple Jars): $16.00

    FREE SHIPPING for orders $55 and above.
  3. Can I return my order if I change my mind? Due to the perishable nature of food products and strict safety and hygiene regulations, we cannot accept physical returns or exchanges once an order has been shipped. However, if your jar arrives damaged or broken during transit, please take a photo immediately and contact us so we can send a replacement right away!
